I will probably finish up the patchwork skirt I started for my daughter tomorrow and take a break from sewing until Tuesday afternoon.

I have a caseworker for Soonerstart (oklahoma early intervention) coming to the house on Tuesday at 10am to give me some paperwork and decide if my daughter needs an evaluation for her lack of speech. I'm hoping she decides Hailey needs an evaluation since she is 2yrs old and says 10 words or less. So I have to spend Monday evening cleaning up the house !

I didn't have $75.00 to spend and had recieved a 20% off coupon in the mail so I used it to purchase my daughter a few things for fall.

I have bought clothes from them previously this year and thought the stuff was of good quality plus has a decent resell value when outgrown !

Crayon Rolls

I set out to make one of these for my 2yr old's diaper bag so she would have crayons to color with when we go out to eat or stuck somewhere where she can color.







Then on a whim I decided to make another one. .

Got the brillant idea to go ahead and list them in my etsy store. I sold both the same day !

Tonite I have to make my custom orders so I can get them shipped out tomorrow.

These would be great for birthday party favors for kids ! Cheap and easy to make !

Oklahoma Aquarium

I took my 2yr old daughter to the Oklahoma Aquarium on Tuesday.

I didn't think it was all that special, but it was really interesting to my 2yr old daughter, Hailey. She drug me all throughout the building to look at the exhibits a couple of dozen times. There was some places where the kids could actually touch the animals, but those exhibits were overcrowded so my daughter never got to touch anything.

She loved the sting ray's the best. We looked at this exhibit the most. The tank had a bench around it so she could climb up and look inside the open top exhibit. She loved seeing the sting ray's swim around.

I think its a great thing for kids to see/do if you are in this area of Oklahoma and have some time.

Custom Outfit Finished

I got my 1st custom order for a Girly Rhinestone Skull Halter Outfit from my etsy store

Finally finished it last night.

I have a few ideas for future halter outfits, and hope to have the $ to pick up some fabric next week to start another halter set.

Fresh Start

My husband worked for Gatorade in Pryor, Ok as a forklift driver and good money + benefits, but unfornately lost his job in December along with 76 other employees due to the economy.

Instead of drawing unemployment he chose to take a lower paying job to help support this family.

Tomorrow August 3rd, he starts classes/training for a new job with SM&P Utility Locators.

He will be in classes/training for 5 wks and staying in a motel near classes Mon-Thur and be home on Friday-Sunday nights.

I'm going to miss him, but this is a great opportunity for him and our family. This new job means a better paying job + benefits.

Maybe after a few paychecks we won't feel like we are barely scraping by money wise.
